    Employees have the option to purchase vision insurance for themselves, their spouse and dependents. Enrollment is first of the month following 60 days of service.

  • Flexible Spending Account(s) (FSA)
    An FSA allows an employee to set aside a portion of their earnings, pre-tax, to pay for qualified medical, dental, vision and dependent care expenses.

    A tax-advantaged savings account where funds are used to pay for current or future health care expenses.

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
    A company funded retirement plan that enables employees to share in the ownership of the company by accumulating shares of stock in SJE Rhombus
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
    A retirement plan that enables employees to defer "before tax" or "after tax" dollars into certain retirement funds of their choice.  SJE Rhombus provides a match of 25% of the deferral up to a maximum of 6% of compensation.

  • Life Insurance
    Company provided life insurance in the amount of $50,000.

  • Supplemental Life Insurance
    An insurance product offering employees the option to purchase additional life insurance on themselves, their spouse or dependents.

  • Short-Term Disability
    An insurance product offering that gives employees the option to purchase a percentage of wage protection if they become disabled.  Benefit term is from date of disability up up to six months.

    An insurance product offering that gives employees the option to purchase a percentage of wage protection if they are disabled longer than six months.

  • Critical Illness
    A critical illness insurance product that employees can purchase to help pay for expenses incurred for critical illnesses, such as heart attack, stroke and cancer.

  • Accident Insurance
    An accident insurance product that employees can purchase to help pay for expenses incurred for covered major or minor injuries or accidents.

For Your Time

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
    A time off plan that combines vacation, personal time, and sick time into one "bank" for employees to use while away from work.  In addition, the company allows non-exempt employees with two years of service to "convert" up to 40 hours of PTO into cash each December.
  • Extended Illness Bank (EIB)
    A "bank" of time for employees to use for extended absences (longer than five days) due to illness or temporary disability, including childbirth.
  • 8 Paid Holidays
    New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
  • Holiday Shutdown
    SJE Rhombus closes for the week between Christmas and New Year's Day.  Employees have the choice to use paid time off (PTO) and/or ENP (excused no pay) for the holiday shutdown. SJE Rhombus reserves the right to modify the dates of the holiday shutdown or remain open depending on the production schedule.
  • Volunteer Activities
    SJE Rhombus supports employee volunteerism by paying employees up to four hours per calendar year for the time they are performing community service volunteer work.  Additionally, SJE Rhombus allows employees to use 'flex-time' or PTO during regular work hours to volunteer for community service events.

    Employees can participate in a variety of committees, such as:
    - Wellness Committee: Fitness Challenges, Blood Drives, Health Screenings, Weight Watches, and Flu Shots
    - Employee Ownership Activity Committee: ESOP Week, Contests, Vesting Ceremony, Employee Lunches, etc.
    - Safety Committee: National Safety Month, Training, etc.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
    Confidential counseling assistance to employees and their dependent on a variety of personal or work issues.
